Boeing, BAE Systems to build airborne electronic warfare (EW) to help F-15 operate against modern EW threats – Military & Aerospace Electronics, March 5


Officials at Air Force Life Cycle Management Center are asking Boeing to install F-15 Eagle Passive/Active Warning and Survivability System (EPAWSS) on F-15E aircraft, Military & Aerospace Electronics reported.  BAE Systems’ Electronics Systems business segment is the main designer and manufacturer of the F-15 EPAWSS airborne EW avionics. That EPAWSS replaces an analog federated avionics system via a new digital, integrated EW suite that allows the F-15 to operate around modern electronic warfare threats with dense radio-frequency backgrounds.
