Memorial Day weekend is one of the best times of year to buy a drone. Retailers run some of their deepest discounts of the year, and 2026 is shaping up to be a strong year for deals, particularly on DJI camera drones.
I’ll be updating this page continuously as new deals go live, so bookmark it and check back. Deals listed below are current as of the time of publication, but prices and availability can change quickly.
Memorial Day 2026 drone deals
Drone training deals
Drone Pilot Ground School — 47% off (ends May 28)
This is the best discount I’ve seen on my favorite Part 107 study course all year.
Drone Pilot Ground School — the course I personally used to pass my FAA Part 107 exam — is running a Memorial Day sale from now through Thursday, May 28 at 11:59 p.m. CT.
Price: $159 (down from $299) — use code MEMORIAL26 at checkout.
One thing worth mentioning: a portion of Drone Pilot Ground School’s Memorial Day sale proceeds will be donated to a Veteran Service Organization, which seems like a fitting cause for the holiday weekend.

Drone hardware deals
DJI Neo — 30% off (from $139)
The DJI Neo is DJI’s most beginner-friendly drone, and at $139 for the controller-free version, this is a super affordable excellent price for a capable little drone.
At 135 grams, the Neo is lighter than most smartphones, and it requires no FAA registration nor Remote ID for recreational use. It launches directly from your palm, and it has subject tracking, eight QuickShots modes, 4K video with DJI stabilization, and built-in propeller guards.
The Memorial Day pricing breaks down as follows:
- Neo (Controller-Free): $139
$199— best for anyone who wants the simplest possible experience, controlled via smartphone or voice - Neo Three-Battery Combo (Controller-Free): $199
$289 - Neo Fly More Combo (3 Batteries, RC-N3): $245
$349 - Neo Motion Fly More Combo (3 Batteries, RC Motion 3): $529 — no discount on this one, but worth knowing about if you want the full motion controller experience
Who this is for: first-time drone buyers, casual flyers, anyone who wants a drone they can genuinely toss in a bag and not think about. The Neo is not a professional tool by any means. If you want serious camera quality or obstacle avoidance, look at the DJI Mini 4 Pro or higher. But as an entry point into the hobby, the $139 controller-free Neo is hard to argue with.
DJI Mini 4K — 31% off (from $269)
The DJI Mini 4K is a step up from the Neo in camera quality and flight capability, and the Memorial Day pricing makes it one of the best value drones on the market right now.
At under 249 grams, it also does not require no FAA registration, nor does it require Remote ID (for recreational use). It shoots 4K video on a 3-axis gimbal, resists Level 5 winds (up to 38 kph), and has a 10km video transmission range which is a huge step up from the Neo.
Memorial Day pricing:
- Mini 4K Camera Drone Combo (2 batteries, 62-min flight): $269
$389— this is the best value configuration and the one I’d recommend - Mini 4K (1 battery, 31-min): $299 — no discount currently, oddly
- Mini 4K Fly More Combo (3 batteries, 93-min): $309
$449
The 2-battery combo at $269 is the sweet spot, offering a combined sixty-two minutes of total flight time .
Who this is for: beginners who want a real camera drone rather than a palm-launch toy, travelers who want something lightweight and capable, anyone stepping up from a toy drone for the first time.
