I feel like I’m just writing these articles all the time now, but it’s because Amazon’s second massive made up holiday (erm, I mean shopping event) is almost upon us. Prime Big Deal Days 2026 returns tomorrow (that’s October 6) for a 48-hour deal marathon that runs through the end of the day on Wednesday, October 7.
So whether you’re getting a jump start on holiday gifting (yes, drones for kids are a fun gift!), looking to stock up on travel tech or are finally ready to add a fancy camera drone to your gear bag, this year’s fall deal event will likely deliver.
Here is everything you need to know about Prime Big Deal Days 2026, including the early DJI drone deals live right now and how to score a free Amazon Prime trial so you don’t miss out on member-exclusive pricing.
How to get in on Prime Deals for free
Prime Big Deal Days offers member-exclusive discounts, meaning you’ll need an active Amazon Prime account to unlock the lowest prices. But you know I love good stuff, and the good news is you don’t have to pay full price upfront to shop the event.
If you aren’t currently a Prime member, you can easily sign up for a 30-day free trial ahead of the event:
- Standard Amazon Prime 30-Day free trial: Anyone eligible can sign up for a 30-day free trial, which gives you instant access to all Prime Big Deal Days offers, fast delivery, and Prime Video access. After the trial, membership is $14.99/month or $139/year.
- Prime for Young Adults (6-Month Free Trial): If you’re a higher education student or between the ages of 18 and 24, Amazon offers a massive 6-month free trial. Once the trial ends, you get a 50% discounted rate of just $7.49/month or $69/year.
- Prime Access (30-Day Free Trial): Qualifying government-assistance recipients and income-verified customers can access a 30-day free trial, followed by a discounted rate of just $6.99/month.

How you can use AI to score better deals this year
Now a lot about Amazon deal days feels the same every year, but the AI craze of 2026 means something for finding better discounts: new AI shopping tools designed to help you track price drops and score deal alerts:
- Use Alexa for price tracking: Tell Alexa, “Alexa, track deals on DJI drones,” or set a target price on a drone you’ve saved to your List. Alexa will send a notification the moment the price drops.
